- I'm using an A3000 with OS3.1 and a CV64. Recently I installed a few
- pictures as background on my 256 color WB. Therefore, I scaled a 24 Bit
- PhotoCD picture and rendered it with 256 colors. When using it with the WB,
- I discovered that the picture "lost" some colors. "WCC" (a WB color
- program) confimed this. The scheme was the following :

- 1 = color used by the 256 color background picture
- 0 = color not used by the picture

- - In total, the picture took 146 colors.
- - Colors 4-F were locked by the MagicWB-Deamon. Killing this task didn't
- change very much.

- 1. Why doesn't the picture use more free colors? Virtually all colors from
- 10-6F aren't used by the picture, nor by WB.

- 2. I tried a few times to display a 24 Bit picture (a very small one) on
- the WB. The error message "Can't load ..." appeared each time. Could it
- be that the WB can only display up to a maximum of 256 colors?
